On June 26, 2010, the Minister of Immigration announced a new set of Ministerial Instructions for the Federal Skilled Worker category.

Now, in order to be eligible, all applicants must have at least one year of experience in one of the 29 occupations on the Minister's List, or they must have an approved job offer.

*IMPORTANT NOTICE*

If you are eligible under the new occupations list, you are encouraged to move quickly as there is a limit of only 1000 applications accepted per year for each of these jobs. There is also a limit of 20,000 applications accepted under the occupations list as a whole. This category is therefore sure to fill up fast.

1. Do you have an approved job offer from a Canadian employer?
2. Do you have at least one year experience in one of  the 29 occupations on the Minister's list?

If you answered YES to either of these questions, then you may be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Class!

In order to qualify, you must also pass an assessment based on your education, age, work experience, language ability and adaptability.
