Alberta Express Entry draw invites 200 candidates with CRS score 322

Alberta Express Entry draw

A total of 200 Express Entry stream candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination in the latest Alberta PNP draw held on April 29. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for candidates to qualify in the draw dropped to 322 in the draw.
The details of the Alberta Express Entry stream draw were released by the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) recently. The candidates who have received Notifications of Interest (NoIs) in the April 29 draw may submit the complete application for provincial nomination to the AINP. Those who successfully apply and obtain provincial nomination from Alberta will have 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points added to their total CRS score and that would guarantee them an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent federal Express Entry draw.

Ever since Canada imposed travel restrictions in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak on March 18, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has been conducting Express Entry draws exclusively for provincial nominees and Canada Experience Class (CEC) candidates alternately. AINP has allowed some flexibility for invited PNP candidates if they are unable to submit all the required documents along with the application within the stipulated time because of the hassles caused by COVID-19 crisis.

Alberta Express Entry stream: Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for invitation under the Alberta Express Entry stream, the candidate must have an active Express Entry profile and work experience in an occupation that supports the economic development and diversification priorities of the province of Alberta.
