In the latest Alberta Express Entry stream draw conducted on September 25, a total of 374 Express Entry candidates were invited to apply for provincial nomination. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of the selected candidates was 400. In September 2019 alone, Alberta conducted three invitation rounds through its Express Entry stream and invitated a total of 852 Alberta Express Entry Draw 347 candidates for provincial nomination. With the September 25 draw, the total number of Express Entry candidates invited by the AINP so far this year has touched 6088. In the previous draws, Alberta has invited candidates with CRS score as low as 300. However, compared to the minimum cut-off score in the latest federal Alberta Express Entry Draw 347, which was 464, the required CRS score in the latest Express Entry draw is lower.

All Canadian PNPs have at least one stream aligned to the federal Express Entry. The Express Entry system of Canada manages the three major federal economic immigration programs, which are: Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
The Express Entry stream of Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program(AINP) allows the province to search the federal Alberta Express Entry Draw 347 pool to select skilled foreign workers with strong ties to Alberta and work experience in an occupation that supports the economic development and diversification priorities of the province.
Though it is not necessary for the candidate to have a job offer, those with one are prioritised in the periodically conducted draws. The Express Entry candidates who obtain provincial nomination from Canada would receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score points that would guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draw.
