PEI PNP draw

Prince Edward Island invited 143 candidates belonging to the Express Entry, Labour Impact and Business Impact categories of Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program(PEI PNP) in the latest Expression of Interest draw held on August 15. Of the total 143 invitations issued, 133 invitations went to Express Entry and Labour Impact category candidates, while Business Impact category candidates received 10 invitations.

PEI PNP Express Entry

The Express Entry category of PEI PNP is aligned to the federal Express Entry system. It allows Prince Edward Island to select Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class candidates from the federal Express Entry pool and nominate them for permanent residence in Canada. The candidates who are nominated by PEI PNP receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points that guarantee them an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in a subsequent Express Entry draw.

PEI PNP Labour Impact category

Foreign workers with a valid job offer from a PEI PNP employer can apply for provincial nomination under the Labour Impact category of PEI PNP. The candidates under the Labour Impact category mainly fall under three streams, which are– Skilled Worker, Critical Worker and International Graduate. The Labour Impact category is not aligned to Express Entry.
Ten Business Impact candidates with a minimum score of 112 also received invitations under the Work Permit Stream.

PEI PNP Expression of Interest

Any candidate who wish to receive provincial nomination from Prince Edward Island must first submit an Expression of Interest (EoI). Upon submission of the EoI, each candidate is assigned a score based on various eligibility factors and the highest scoring candidates are invited to apply for provincial nomination from PEI PNP.
Compared to the previous draw held on July 18, the latest draw has issued 15 more invitations. The July 18 draw had issued 17 invitations to Business Impact candidates with a minimum score of 112. The cut-off score has remained the same since the June 20 draw.
