Australia Skilled Occupation List: Expected Changes

As per the changes introduced to the Australia Skilled Occupation List, certain occupations will be possibly removed from the Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL). Some occupations will be moved from the Medium Long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) to the Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL). Some occupations will be moved from STSOL to MLTSSL and some will be moved from STSOL to Regional Occupations List (ROL).

This is the continuation of a number of changes introduced to the Australian Occupation List around the past one year. The STSOL and MLTSSL are updated every six months, based on the stakeholder consultation processes and labour market evidence and analysis.The new STOL and MLTSSL is expected to be made publicly available on 1 July 2018.
