British Columbia PNP invites 472 Express Entry and Skills Immigration candidates

In the largest draw to have held in 2018 till date, British Columbia invited 472 Express Entry and Skills Immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The Express Entry candidates who were invited in the draw that was held on October 17 belonged to the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Express Entry stream. The Skills Immigration candidates were chosen from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled categories of the Skills Immigration stream.
British Columbia PNP Express Entry stream
The British Columbia PNP Express Entry stream, aligned to the federal Express Entry system, allows eligible candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The Skills Immigration categories processed under the Express Entry stream are:

  • Skilled Worker Category
  • Health Care Professional Category
  • International Graduate Category
  • International Post-Graduate Category

The Express Entry candidates who are invited to apply for provincial nomination will receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points.

In order to apply for Canada immigration through the Skills Immigration and Express Entry streams of British Columbia PNP, a candidate must first create an online profile. Based on the information provided in the profile, the candidates will be assigned scores and ranked. The highest ranking candidates will be invited to apply for provincial nomination.
Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS)
In order to apply for provincial nomination through most of the British Columbia PNP immigration categories, a candidate must register their profile with the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of BC PNP. It is a point-based system that allows British Columbia to invite candidates with skills in demand in the province.
But before registering, the candidate must have obtained an indeterminate, full-time employment offer from a British Columbia employer. Based on the registration score, the candidate will be invited to apply for provincial nomination.

EEBC – Skilled Worker 80
EEBC – International Graduate 90
SI – Skilled Worker 81
SI – International Graduate 91
SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled 80
