A draw of the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Stream will take place on September 19. The entrepreneurs who wish to be considered for this draw must submit their Expression of Interest as soon as possible.
Saskatchewan has recently increased the frequency of draws for this stream. Earlier, the draws used to take place only once in three months. But now, the draws take place once in two months. The next draw of Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Stream will take place on November 21, 2018. Saskatchewan has so far issued 669 invitations through the Entrepreneur stream this year.
Saskatchewan Entrepreneur stream for Canada immigration
Under the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Stream, selected candidates can set up their business in Saskatchewan on a temporary work permit. Upon successful establishment of the business and meeting the terms in the agreement with the province, Saskatchewan will nominate eligible candidates for permanent residence in Canada.
In order to be considered under this Stream, a candidate must first submit an Expression of Interest (EoI). But before that, they must make sure that they meet the minimum eligibility criteria for this Stream. These include:
-Minimum net worth of $500,000, which is legally acquired
-Minimum three years of experience in running or managing a business
-Minimum investment of $300,000 in Regina or Saskatoon or $200,000 is any other areas.
If selected after submitting the EoI, the candidate will enter a pool of candidates where he/she will be awarded a score based on various eligibility factors. The highest scoring candidates will be invited to apply to the program in the subsequent draws.
Along with the application, a candidate will have to submit:
-A Business Establishment Plan
-A commitment agreeing to actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business
-A commitment to create two or more jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents, if the business is located in Regina or Saskatoon.
