Invitations issued to Saskatchewan Express Entry, Occupation In-Demand candidates

Saskatchewan issued a total of 514 invitations to apply for provincial nomination to the International Skilled Worker immigration category candidates of Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) on November 23. Out of these, 247 invitations were issued to Saskatchewan Express Entry category candidates. The rest of the 267 invitations were issued to candidates of the Occupation In-Demand sub-category of SINP.
The selected Express Entry candidates had a minimum score of 63 on the International Skilled Worker point grid of Saskatchewan. The minimum score required for Occupation In-Demand candidates was 64. The Express Entry candidates who obtain provincial nomination from Saskatchewan will receive 600 additional CRS points, which will guarantee them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draw.

Expression of Interest (EoI) system for Saskatchewan Express Entry candidates

The Express Entry candidates who wish to be considered for provincial nomination from Saskatchewan must first create a profile under the Expression of Interest (EOI) system of SINP. The profile must include all the required information regarding various eligibility factors such as education, work experience and language proficiency. Based on the information provided, each profile is awarded a score on the point assessment grid of Saskatchewan. The candidates of the Saskatchewan Express Entry category must score a minimum 60 points in order to be eligible. They must also have work experience in one of the high-skilled occupations in the In-Demand Occupations List of Saskatchewan. However, a job offer is not necessary.
A candidate from the Occupation In-Demand sub-category must also score a minimum of 60 points on the point assessment grid of Saskatchewan. They must also have minimum one year of work  experience in the past 10 years in one of the in-demand occupations of Saskatchewan. This category also does not require a job offer.
The latest draw is the fifth draw of both the sub-categories after Saskatchewan moved from a first-come, first-served method of application to EOI system. So far, the province has issued a total of 3,337 invitations through the EoI system. Of these, 1,552 invitations were issued to Express Entry candidates and 1,785 to Occupation In-Demand candidates.
