SINP Express Entry candidates invited through Expression of Interest system

Saskatchewan has issued invitations to apply for provincial nomination to Express Entry candidates for the first time through its new Expression of Interest system. Along with this, Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has also revised the In-Demand Occupations List.
A total of 466 SINP Express Entry candidates received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination. The minimum required score was 68. All the selected Expressions of Interest had an Educational Credential Assessment.

SINP Express Entry sub-category

The first step in applying under the SINP Express Entry sub-category is creating an Express Entry profile. Then they have to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the SINP. Based on the information provided in the profile, including work experience, education, language proficiency etc. the candidates are given a score out of 100.

In order to be considered for selection, a candidate must have:
– A minimum score of 60 out of 100 on the points assessment grid of SINP
-Post-secondary level education (certificate, diploma or degree)
-Work experience in a job listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) that is designated Skill Type O, Skill Level A or Skill Level B and is in the In-Demand Occupations List of Saskatchewan.
-For certain occupations, candidates will have to show proof of professional status or licensure
The candidates who receive provincial nomination will be awarded 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points which improve their chances of obtaining invitation to apply for permanent residence.
