SkillSelect : Australian Immigration Updates

Canada PR applications

SkillSelect

SkillSelect is an online service that enables Australia to manage its Skilled Migration Programme. SkillSelect is designed to identify individuals who possess the skills required in Australia, fulfilling Australia’s economic needs and addressing regional skill shortages. It also helps manage and streamline who can apply, when they can apply and the quota of applications.
Through SkillSelect, applicants answer a series of questions that enable the system to match the applicant’s skills with the needs of employers.
Step 1: Applicants first enter their information into SkillSelect.
Step 2: The applicant takes a skill test that assesses their abilities and how well they meet the education and English language requirements.
Step 3: Applicants then select an Expression of Interest (EOI) in the visa category they would like to be considered for.
Step 4: Once the applicant is in the system, Australian employers or state and territory governments may invite them to submit a visa application.
Step 5: Once the application is accepted, the applicant will receive a visa and may live and work in Australia.
