British Columbia’s Tech Pilot Program Invites More Immigration Candidates

British Columbia, one of the immigrant welcoming provinces invited 28 Skilled Immigration and Express Entry candidates in its Tech Pilot draw held during the 19^th of February. Candidates who have received an Invitation to Apply will get to apply for a Canadian Permanent Resident Visa.
British Columbia is one of the Canadian provinces which has been showing a keen interest in taking skilled immigrants to the province through its various immigration streams. One of the streams that has played a predominant role in welcoming immigrants this year is British Columbia’s Tech Pilot Program.
The British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot (launched during the year 2017) is one of the major economic growth programs which helps the province target some of the skilled tech workers and entrepreneurs from all parts of the world who could help the technology sector of British Columbia grow.

On the Tech Pilot Draw held on the 19^th of February 2019, 28 invitations were issued to Skills Immigration & Express Entry Candidates. In order to qualify for British Columbia’s immigration steams, the candidates should have registered under both the Canadian Federal Express Entry System and British Columbia’s Skills Immigration Registration System.
Applicants who have received an Invitation to Apply are eligible foreign tech workers who have a valid job offer in one of the 29 in-demand occupations of the province and one should demonstrate a minimum of at-least one-year full-time job offer. Candidates will also be receiving 600 additional CRS Scores which effectively guarantees their chances of immigrating to Canada as a permanent resident.

Express Entry British Columbia Skilled Worker – 85
Express Entry British Columbia International Graduate – 94
Skilled Immigration – Skilled Worker – 85
Skilled Immigration – International Graduate – 94
